Canadian band The Souljazz Orchestra represents what’s best inside the tropical afro-groove scene. Not just by the quality of the musicians, but also for the lifetime achievements released over the last five years, with four outstanding records. Among them, the brand new Resistance, just released by the awesome label Strut Records.

Although staying true to their african roots, the new album explores even more the latin and caribbean layer of the band, bringing strong influence of rhythms like zouk, salsa and coupé-décalé. It’s also the first album of the band with vocals in all of the tracks, overlapping the leadership of the instruments in previous works, Quality is still on top, and that’s all that matters.
